I graduated from UCSD in 2005 with a BS in Biology. In 2010, I received a Cellular and Developmental Biology PhD from UC Davis. I am currently a part-time postdoctoral fellow in a research lab at UCSD. As an undergraduate, I was a TA for biology, biochemistry, and cellular biology. I was an Adjunct Professor at University of San Diego from 2012-2013 where I taught a molecular biology lab. I have tutored high school and college level students in science. I recently became a mom and I am looking for tutoring jobs until I have more time to become a full-time professor at a university. I have been studying and teaching science for over 13 years and I love it. I have a flexible schedule and am willing to put in the time to make sure my students fully understand the material. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
