Being a tutor and a mentor bring me many intrinsic rewards that money can never offer. I love tutoring Mathematics, because this subject is used in our everyday lives and many people across the world have trouble understanding it. I have been tutoring Mathematics for more than 15 years to a variety of ages as young as 4 and as old as 50 years old. I feel that every student's weakness needs to be understood before one can help a student. I adapt my teaching methods according to my students' needs, and I believe that my experience have helped me throughout the years to recognize the students' needs and obtain successful results. I believe that one important skill a lot of math tutors lack is being able to relate the subject to real life, and use practical examples to promote the interest of the student.
I have tutored Mathematics at Pierce college and currently tutoring at West Coast University. I studied Mathematics in the year 2000 and have been an active tutor. Seeing an smile on an student's face brings me many intrinsic rewards, and I promise to work hard in improving your student's math skills at the end of the day. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have an Associate degree in mathematics, and I have been private tutoring Mathematics for more than 15 years. I have surpassed this begging class, and I have helped many students with this subject.
