As an Adobe Certified Instructor, my goal is to share my years of expertise with students who are passionate about computer graphics. Although most of my work is digital, I am a traditionally trained artist. I began over ten years ago as an adjunct instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College and also teach for various training centers, including New York-based Netcom and the Bay Area Video Coalition in San Francisco. In addition, I do private training and consulting for corporations and individuals. I have presented my unique techniques and approaches at the North Bay Adobe Users' Group and teach Photoshop and design classes at the Academy of Art and the College of Marin. As an Adobe Certified Instructor in the latest versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash I share my experience on my own illustration
blog as well as writing articles and tutorials on various digital imaging websites. I am fluent in Spanish and have experience with other languages. I enjoy writing and one of my accomplishments was researching, co-authoring, designing, and doing the layout for a book on exploring Mayan ruins.

I had a photoshop lesson with Daniel. He was very professional and competent with valuable technical skill and a good eye for detail. I'd recommend him to anyone interested in upping their digital imagery game.
I give him five stars and one word: amazing.
Daniel is a grenade of skills and technical know-how and can deliver this in a way that I could understand and apply to my needs.Talk is cheap...he has the work in his portfolio to prove himself.
What Daniel did was help me throough enormous project steps working through Indesign and Illustrator. He had immense patience as I was driving the keyboard and he gently told me what to do next to accomplish my goals. He was also responsive and allowed me the space to make mistakes thinking that some of the process of working with these apps might work logically (hah!). He was there for me in a way that did not interfere with my own view of what I was trying to get done on the project. So, very grateful. Thank you, Daniel.
Daniel gave me a clear succinct tour of best practices for understanding Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop's respective modes for viewing RGB color and translating to CMYK for print. He tracked the specific nature of my need to know, and was able to deliver a focused, efficient and helpful tutorial.
Daniel J is a good teacher who has been very helpful in getting me to greater confidence in the use of Photoshop. I have had him here 3 or 4 times and will have him again
Daniel has extensive knowledge of both illustrator and photoshop and was able to help not just with my specific project but also to give an overview of the best application and use of both programs.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
