“**Math genius!**”

I got my BSc in mathematics and computer science from Caltech, one of the top technical schools in the world. I graduated with the Ryser Scholarship, a prestigious award given to three Caltech students each year for academic excellence in math. While at Caltech, I tutored many of my peers in math, physics, and computer science, both formally and

Brilliant tutor! Shival is highly skilled, patient and expert in math. He helped me with AP Calculus and taught me how to solve integrals, limits and continuity much more clearer than my own teacher. He shared and gave me his notes on Calculus helping me understand the concepts in addition to learning how to solve problems- I highly recommend Shival!

I look forward to seeing him again and growing in my understanding of Algebra I. He is easy going and knowledgeable about the lesson for today.

This is our first lesson with Shival, he is sincere, caring and very diligent. My son love him and a very good physic tutor. I will continue to give more feedbacks as we proceed further down the road. But definitely an excellent tutor to have.

Shival helped me study for my physics midterm and was very helpful. It was on one and two dimensional kinematics and newtons laws and dynamics and circular motion.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

In order to graduate from Caltech with a degree in math, having a total command of the concepts in algebra was absolutely necessary.

Now I'm happy to share my knowledge with others. Through patient, step-by-step lessons, I can help students who are struggling with algebra gain confidence in the material and can help with homework and test prep. I also can push algebra students who are looking for a challenge, exposing them to more advanced concepts and ideas.

In order to graduate from Caltech with a degree in math, having a total command of the concepts in algebra 2 was absolutely necessary. Now I'm happy to share my knowledge with others. Through patient, step-by-step lessons, I can help students who are struggling with algebra 2 gain confidence in the material and can help with homework and test prep. I also can push algebra 2 students who are looking for a challenge, exposing them to more advanced concepts and ideas.

As a math major at Caltech, I became an expert in calculus, using it daily in areas as diverse as physics, neuroscience, and political science.

Even in high school, I obtained a solid foundation in calculus, taking and excelling in AP Calculus BC, multivariable calculus, and differential equations.

I have always loved explaining concepts in calculus and can provide supplementary lessons and also help with homework and studying for tests. Since calculus is so fundamental to how the world works, I try to make learning calculus intuitive and fun, instead of a chore.

I took differential equations classes in high school and in college at Caltech, one of the top colleges in math in the world, and attained an expertise in the field that has allowed me to participate in advanced scientific research, including neuroscience research at the Allen Institute for Brain Science on DiPDE, a differential equations simulator for large populations of neurons.

But I don't just work with experts. During my time at Caltech, I tutored some of my fellow students in differential equations. One of them said about their experience, "Shival is a very patient tutor who thinks that no question is too dumb to ask. He is very good at breaking down complex ideas in a very understandable and intuitive way."

If you are having trouble with differential equations, I look forward to working with you so we can boost your confidence in the material and test scores, and explore the world of differential equations together.

As a graduate of Caltech with a degree in math, I have a clear and comprehensive understanding of physics that I love to share with others. At Caltech, I tutored many of my peers in physics, and, in high school, I was one of the officers of the physics research club.

Additionally, in high school, I received a 5 on the AP Physics B exam and an 800 on the SAT II Physics subject test and can help students with high school physics as well.

In order to graduate from Caltech with a degree in math, having a total command of the concepts in precalculus was absolutely necessary.

Now I'm happy to share my knowledge with others. Through patient, step-by-step lessons, I can help students who are struggling with precalculus gain confidence in the material and can help with homework and test prep. I also can push precalculus students who are looking for a challenge, exposing them to more advanced concepts and ideas.

As a former full National Merit Scholar and as someone who achieved a 2390 out of 2400 on the SAT, I know what an SAT test-taker needs to succeed: hard work, good test-taking strategies, and confidence in their ability to succeed, especially at SAT Math!
