About Carlyle

My name is Carlyle and I am a tutor with a focus on English writing, speaking, listening, and reading skills. Having taught in a private urban school in the subjects for five years, for the past five years in an after school ESL program with Chinese youth, and teaching five summers to teachers in China and Mongolia I am committed to helping youth and/or adults achieve excellence in their English skills that will help them secure success both in the present and in the future.

Believing that accountability is critical for any teacher, I will commit myself to excellence and do all that I can to work with individuals and families closely. I have kept my rate low to not overcharge anyone, particularly in a day where everyone must carefully watch their income. I will endeavor to employ a variety of approaches to suit their individual learning styles. Having served in the capacities I have been able to do, I have learned much through the experience of working with a variety of students and have endeavored to work closely with students beyond the classroom instruction. It is my sincere desire to see any and every student that I have the privilege to work with, meet and exceed their potentials in life and be able to teach what they learn to others.
