“**Great Tutor**”

The past nine years of my life have been a whirlwind adventure of learning:

I received my BS and MS in physics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. For the duration, I was always taking a minimum of six courses per semester.

The past four years I spent

Kenneth is approved to conduct lessons through Wyzant Online. Wyzant Online allows students and tutors to work remotely via video, audio, and collaborative whiteboard tools. For more information about how online tutoring works, check out Wyzant Online.

If you’re interested in online lessons, message Kenneth to get started.

We were very lucky to have Ken as a tutor. My daughter got As the whole year, but more importantly she learned to like physics and became much more confident in her abilities. I highly recommend him.

Kenneth has been helping my son with Honors Chemistry studying and has been tremendously helpful. We've seen significant improvement in grades over the last 2 months and my son enjoys working with him

Kenneth was able to tutor me on extremely short notice and worked around my schedule to set a time to meet that would work. He was patient and excellent at conveying the information I needed help with. Would definitely recommend hiring him, and I will certainly be meeting with him again!

Kenneth helped my daughter make progress in physics in her first lesson. His explanations were clear and she was able to share the information with her study group, so I know she really understood it.

We are very happy with Kenneth. We actually tried three highly rated Calculus tutors on WyzAnt, and Kenneth is the best. He is extremely bright and enthusiastic, and has a great ability to communicate and teach the necessary concepts and connect with his students. Highly recommended!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have been doing Calculus as a normal part of everyday life since 2006, and have been tutoring Calculus as a topic ever since 2008. I am intimately familiar with the ins and outs of Calculus thought, from Calc I and AP Calc AB all the way up to Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems.

I have taken many differential equations courses, including ODEs, boundary value problems, and several high level physics courses which use Differential Equations as part of the normal course of solving homework and test problems.

I have been tutoring ESL since I was age 14 and my family hosted a foreign exchange student from Spain. The student's mother was so happy with his improvement that she personally sent a letter to thank me after seeing her son's English grades improve so dramatically. Furthermore, I have often the added advantage of being able to communicate some of the subtler nuances of English in the speaker's native language because I also speak German, French and Spanish.

I have had a love for geometry ever since I was on my math team in high school. I helped the other members of my high school team put some of the best Geometry scores in the state, as well as tutored many students not from math team on the subject.

I've taken and passed two college level courses in Linear Algebra, and it is an indispensable part of the quantum mechanics and relativity toolbox. I also spent the majority of my PhD work performing (Linear Algebra) analysis on large matrices. I've tutored friends and fellow scientists in the field.

I did all of my Master's and PhD research working on Linux systems and have learned ins and outs of how Linux works. I can do everything from reformatting and re-partitioning a hard drive, to installing a Linux operating system, to command-line setting up features and hardware that a client would like. During my Master's and PhD I also taught colleagues how to do the same, and through my help they achieved success.

I have taken classes in discrete mathematics and computer logic, which have much overlap with mathematical logic. I understand how to construct and use truth tables in order to find the answer to logic and false logic puzzles. From my computer science background, I have an understanding of how the 'and', 'or', 'nand', 'nor', and 'not' operators work, and their role these operators play in formal logic.

During my undergraduate and Master's degrees I used Mathematica to work on complex physics problems. I learned how to operate many intricate facets of the interface and would love an opportunity to pass on what I know.

Used MATLAB as a core piece of mathematical analysis during my entire undergraduate experience and wrote several programs in MATLAB to perform experimentation analysis summarized in my Master's thesis. I was working alongside MATLAB gurus that shared their knowledge and experience with me, as I want to share my knowledge and experience with others.

I have spent the past nine years of my life studying physics. In 2008 I completed my BS in Physics. In 2009 I completed my MS in Physics. In 2013 I completed my PhD research in Computational Bio-physics.

During all nine years I have tutored physics students of all levels and helped them quantitatively and qualitatively understand the physical world.

I studied precalculus as an introduction to calculus. I have experience with everything that is considered a precalculus topic. the normal six trig functions, trig identities, double and half angle formulas, ploynomials, factoring, limits, polynomial long division, vectors, and conics. I've been tutoring someone using WyzAnt in Precalc, and they've been very happy with me so far.

Knowing what, when, and how to study in order to be effective with your time and energy is a difficult task. I've read books and attended seminars that tackle the very issue of how to effectively manage your time and energy in order to produce lasting memory results.

Because not every method works for every person, I know several different study and learning strategies that can help improve organization and overall study skills.
