I have been teaching English literature, history, and communication skills for over ten years, working with students ranging from nine, through to university undergraduates.
My academic background includes a BA in English Literature and French from the University of Exeter and an MA in Classical Acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London — one of the world's leading drama and performance conservatoires.
Alongside my teaching work, I have spent fifteen years as a professional actor, with credits on Netflix, NBC, CBS, and on stage at Lincoln Center in New York and Shakespeare's Globe in London.
My teaching experience spans one-to-one private tutoring, small group coaching, and undergraduate lecturing at the University of West London, where I delivered Shakespeare and English literature workshops to groups of up to thirty students. I have worked extensively with secondary and undergraduate students on essay writing, textual analysis, literary criticism, European and world history, and exam preparation including SAT, AP, and IB.
I am a fluent French speaker and have experience teaching English and French language skills in both academic and professional settings.
My approach is tailored to each individual student. I focus on building genuine confidence alongside academic skill — helping students find their own voice on the page and in discussion, rather than simply drilling technique.
