Bio

I am an aerospace engineer currently working in Southern California. I have a deep love for learning all sorts of things, especially math and science. I channeled that passion into a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA.

Since obtaining my MS, I have been tutoring students in Math and Science. I also mentor junior engineers at work, instructing them on advanced mechanics and physics concepts. Beyond improving comprehension and grades (which certainly does happen), I am to kindle a love of learning and an appreciation for knowledge in my students. I do not give students the answers, but help them ask the right questions and find the solution on their own.

I am fluent in algebra, trigonometry, and calculus concepts and principles, and I use all of them on a regular basis.

I have an intuitive relationship with science. I often find that simple questions (such as why is the sky blue) lead to complex answers that are not only instructive, but inspiring.

Please reach out with any questions you have. I am happy to answer and chat about how I can help you or your child learn and grow.

Homeschool

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I use algebra every day as an aerospace engineer.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I use algebra everyday. I love algebra. It is so useful. If your child is wondering why they need to learn algebra - “they’ll never use it” - I can show them what they can use it for, and inspire them to want to learn math.
Calculus,

Calculus

I have taken advanced math classes including Calc 1, Calc 2, multivariate calculus, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations, and partial differential equations as part of my college and undergraduate degrees in mechanical engineering. I currently use concepts from all of these classes on a regular basis as an aerospace engineer.
Chemistry,

Chemistry

I have a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a masters degree from UCLA in the same field. I have taken many classes which use the fundamentals of chemistry and thermodynamics. Additionally, I have previous tutoring experience with college level chemistry.
Geometry,

Geometry

I use geometry on a daily basis to design space telescopes and other satellite instruments. I have studied math extensively, including geometric principles.
Physics,

Physics

I have bachelors and masters degrees in mechanical engineering and currently work as an aerospace engineer.

Mechanical Engineering

I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California - Los Angeles. For the past 8+ years, I have been employed as a mechanical engineer in the aerospace industry. I regularly use advanced principles in many different mechanical engineering domains, such as mechanics of materials, statics and dynamics, and 3D design. Additionally, I mentor and teach these principle to junior engineers on a daily basis.
