Hi Everyone,
Currently, I work as a teacher with Speak Debate in the Bay area, which is a confidence building enrichment programme.

My experience so far has led me to teach in various countries and schools. I have worked as a substitute teacher for a period of two years with the American School of The Hague (Netherlands) for Elementary middle school and high school.

In April 2015, I graduated as an Early Childhood Educator from Sheridan College of Applied Technology and Advanced Learning in Ontario, Canada with high honors and worked in a Kindergarten classroom as a teacher for a period of 2 years with the Halton district school board.

What I have learned in my teaching experience is that each child is unique and as an educator we must practice differentiated learning techniques. Working with students overcome their weakness in subjects is satisfying not just to the student but to me as an educator too, as I feel that I have overcome a hurdle too!

I am comfortable working with not only students, but with adults too.

When I relocated from India to the Netherlands, I remember how insecure I felt trying to learn a new language. I felt I needed practice and therefore can empathize with adult/ children from different countries, for whom English is not their first language and they just need conversational classes!

I hope that you get in touch for any remedial teaching.
Lots of happiness and laughter to the universe.

Public Speaking

I have experience in Public speaking as during my education in 2014-15 for Early childhood education (Canada), I had to present my assignments in front of at least 50 students and professors on regular basis. As a teacher in Canada, I had to present the kindergarten philosophy to parents (at least 40 families) when they came for the orientation evening. I have experience coaching high school children ( Volunteer work in the Netherlands) where I coached children on their oration skills when they had to participate in debates on the European platform (regional and national competitions) In my travel & Tourism field, I have help positions as Sales executive, sales manager, followed by my own proprietorship company where I had to promote my company to various prospective clients. Currently, I work with Speakdebate.com as a teacher (an enrichment programme), where I help develop skills such as believing in yourself (confidence building), posture and oration. My many years of experience in various fields, has helped me develop instincts, on how best to help people overcome their obstacle with regards to public speaking.

Elementary Education

Elementary (K-6th)

I feel qualified to teach elementary school children because my experience as an early childhood educator where I worked in a kindergarten classroom (Canada) involved teaching children math, writing and reading skills. With regards to grades 1-6, while I do not have any official experience, I have "practical experience" in coaching students struggling with certain subjects, because I was the assistant helper in my children's elementary class rooms for 7 years (grades 1-7). The standard method to teaching is the pedagogical approach. However, as an educator I also feel that very often the block in a child's mind is not that they don't understand or can't understand, they just need to learn it from an another perspective. A combination of traditional approach for sure but, mixed with visual and a non conventional approach.

I have taken the IELTS ACADEMIC exam myself, when I was relocating to Canada as a full time student. My score was 8 /9 in writing, reading and speaking. I find the material very easy to comprehend and have since then also tutored people in Canada who needed help to clear the academic exam.
