In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. Chinese for speakers of other languages:

Students will primarily be developing basics in listening and speaking via Pinyin, though reading, and writing may also be covered, if the student desires.

ESL is taught in a hands-on method, which incorporates the learner's environment, so that they can learn the English necessary for living skills.
At the advanced level, I offer preparation for standardized tests, such as the TOEFL.
My knowledge of the subject is vast, starting with school-based training, from age 8 and up. I was awarded first prize at a national Chinese martial arts competition.
The practice of Chinese Martial Arts (Kung-Fu) consists of self-defense, fitness and self-confidence; the mental and physical discipline used in Kung-Fu has benefits for everyone.
Kung-fu is the art of striking and grappling. It is a combination of punches, kicks and strikes with long and short ranges, grappling, joint locks, and strangling and nerve holds designed to restrain an opponent. Used as a fighting system, it will increase aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, muscular development, fitness, agility, flexibility, balance and co-ordination.
Lesson structure largely depends upon the student's background in martial arts, however with a beginner, vital first steps will include posture, stance, mentality before getting into actual maneuvers and striking positions.
