Hello!

My name is Brandon, and I am a professional software engineer with 8 years industry experience in software development and I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014 with a BS in Computer Science. Computer Science and Programming have been one of my biggest passions since I started my first computer science class in 2006 during my first year of high school. While I am not classically trained in teaching, I have always found it incredibly rewarding to teach those who are new and old to the topic something they didn't know before. I have been widely exposed to both the practical and theoretical side of computer science. I can help you understand everything from data structures and algorithms to the theory of computation itself. Additionally, if you need a working professional engineer to help you with navigating your career, mastering how to interview effectively, or talk through how to negotiate job offers, I can also be a great resource there.

When working with me, I like to take an individualized approach to teaching and understand where my students feel unclear and unsure on the material. After pinpointing the problem area, walk them through it methodically and slowly, with examples and detailed explanations to accompany the subject breakdown. I am always open to questions and concerns, with an eye for doing my best to help you get the most out of your lesson and beyond.
