I am graduating with a Bachelors in Liberal Studies as a Multiple Subject Teacher, and will soon be entering the credential program at CSU Bakersfield. I work hard to create a fun and interactive environment for the preschool students that I currently teach. I have always used art and creativity to my advantage when both learning and teaching. It is important to me, that children are considered individuals with the ability to grow as a person and be able to work with a group or with other students.
Grammar was always algebra but with ALL words and no numbers through my eyes as a student. I always thought that reading and grammar were difficult to comprehend but I later found that it was only the teachers that provided the wrong idea of the subjects, which in turn gave me a negative idea of reading later in life. I aim to give students a better reason to read and comprehend what they read for good reasons and in a way they can fully understand.

I plan to make learning exciting for students at these ages because if the lessons are not exciting and captivating, the students will only lose interest and that is exactly what we don't want.

Students have the opportunity to define what art is as soon as they decide to develop an opinion and having that ability to produce something that they enjoy looking at, and can share with others, is extremely important to any learning process.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
