I have a Ph.D. in biochemistry from The University of Chicago. My previous research work was in biochemistry, structural biochemistry, and analytical chemistry, so I also have a thorough knowledge of a variety of chemistry topics. I have a Ph.D. in biochemistry from The University of Chicago. Due to this, I can offer tutoring services in all areas of chemistry, including general, organic, analytical, electrochemistry, and biochemistry. I will gladly assist undergraduate and high school students in the world of chemistry to help improve grades or prepare for the AP Chemistry examination.

My previous instructional experiences include the tutoring of high school students in general and AP chemistry, tutoring undergraduate and professional students in biochemistry and organic chemistry, and helping undergraduate students initiate their research projects in chemistry and biochemistry laboratories. My main goals are to help students grasp the basic theories covered in class, improve study techniques to prepare for exams, and to increase confidence in problem solving by introducing strategies on how to understand and approach questions. If you have any questions about topics I can cover or my availability, please feel free to contact me, and I will assess whether or not I can assist you in your endeavors in the world of science.

CANCELLATION FEE:
If you must cancel a lesson, please let me know 24 hours or more in advance of the lesson start time (24 hours notice per 1 hour of scheduled lesson time is required). Notification must be through the Wyzant messaging system--students are responsible for ensuring that the message is marked as "delivered". All appointments cancelled within 24 hours/scheduled hour of the lesson start time will be charged the full fee as if the lesson has occurred. No show + no notice will be assessed the full lesson charge + a $10 extra fee.

Organic Chemistry

Successful organic chemistry mastery starts with memorizing the details of each synthesis step and solving problems by applying this knowledge to complete a detailed synthesis procedure. I can assist in learning either or both of these requirements for undergraduate and professional Organic Chemistry I and II courses. As a chemistry student, I took Organic Chemistry I & II in addition to their corresponding laboratory courses. I also opted to sit for the American Chemical Society examination, on which I received high marks. I also took an international organic chemistry course in Hong Kong, which covered more advanced syntheses. My instructional experience with this topic has mostly been assisting students prepare for their medical school examinations, but I am highly interested in helping other students in their examinations or assignments for organic chemistry courses. Amazing tutor!

KC is a really great tutor. He knows his material and he breaks it down to easily understand it. He also makes outlines and highlights important information for you to take home with you so you can study on your own which is really helpful. He is professional, on time, and very friendly. I will be meeting with him again!
