I was a High School Math instructor for 14 years in Woodland Hills California. For the past 26 years I have taught mathematics at the Community College level. I have also tutored many local students from Palm Desert High School, La Quinta High School, Palm Springs High School and College of the Desert.
What I love about private tutoring is seeing my students grow in their understanding of mathematics. I enjoy being able to create simple ways for my students to understand topics that they find difficult. Working with students privately gives them an opportunity to ask questions they may not choose to ask in class.
I most enjoy tutoring Basic Arithmetic, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre Calculus and Calculus I.
Cancellations are preferred within 36 hours if possible.

My daughter has been to Linda 2 times for tutoring with IB Math. My daughter is so grateful that Linda taught her an easier way to solve the problems she has been struggling with. My daughter was very comfortable with Linda and will definitely go back to her.
Linda was very patient when helping me with algebra. She helped me solve adding and subtracting of radicals and rational equations. She explained in detail all the steps for equations and what else to expect with more complicated problems.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
