I graduated from University of Redlands with a BA in English and Creative Writing. I also possess a graduate degree in English and Creative Writing from University of California, Riverside. I hold a valid California teaching credential, and I have taught in the K-12 setting for several years. I am able to assist K-12 students, as well as adult learners who are interested in studying for exams like the GED, CBEST, or CSET.
I am Leading Edge Certified as a teacher in online and blended learning. I am familiar with most common online-course platforms, including Blackboard, Canvas, Haiku, and Edgenuity. I enjoy assisting those who need additional support and guidance in order to be successful in their online course.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have experiencing tutoring middle and high school students through 9th grade math, including Pre-Algebra and the first year of Algebra. I'm qualified to assist students with setting up and solving basic algebraic equations, along with other elements of 6th-9th grade math including word problems and working with exponents.
