I am currently going for my credentials this year so I can teach math in High School next year. However, I have taken classes that help first time teachers to be able to help their students in more than just their subject area. This is because it is logic base and is straight forward but only if the student is able to understand it the best way they can learn it. I know how to tackle problems in more than just one way because every student is unique and every student loves to learn in their own way than rather a teacher trying to teach them in a manner where they can only understand it.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
