I graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Communication Disorders in 2013. Throughout my college years, I tutored various students in the classroom as well as at their home. I tutored Mathematics (PreAlgebra and Algebra I) and English. In the classroom, I worked with students in improving their reading and writing skills. I also did substitute teaching in grades K-12 for two years. Currently, I work in the school district with preschool students in helping them meet their IEP goals in speech. I specialize in tutoring students with specific learning disabilities.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have over seven years experience tutoring students. Three of these years were spent tutoring a middle school student, four hours a week. She was enrolled in Keystone National High School and I tutored her in Mathematics and English. I created supplemental educational materials and would conduct test review sessions with her. She had contact with her teacher either through the online platform or by phone. In essence, I fulfilled the role of both in-person teacher and tutor.
