California State University, Fresno (Psychology)
Hello! My name is Kenzie and I am an undergraduate at California State University, Fresno. I have already received my Associate's Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences, and now I am working on my Bachelor's in Psychology. I plan on going on to get my PhD in Psychology once I finish my undergraduate. I have an overall GPA of a 3.5, and have taken a variety of courses outside my major. For example, I love creative writing and literature courses, as well as statistics and communications courses. Aside from learning and studying, I also have a deep passion for animals; horses in particular. I am a member of the Fresno State rodeo team. We travel all over the region competing in rodeos, so if you want riding lessons as well as tutoring lessons, I am available for that, too!
I have experience with tutoring both Science and English courses. I enjoy helping others to find easier and more understandable ways to learn. More importantly, I like to make learning fun, and turn it into a passion rather than a job. I think it is very important that people WANT to learn, and that they are not forced to do so.
I have taken many communications and writing courses throughout my college semesters. These are the courses I take for fun because they are passions for me and I love to learn about them, as well as teach them!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taken public speaking courses, and passed with an A. I also was the vice president of California High School Rodeo Association, District 2. This required me to make a variety of different speeches and announcements to large groups of people. I know how to properly prepare for presentations and speeches, as well techniques to keep nerves at bay.
