I have a current credential in Social Science and I am currently a high school teacher. I have taught almost every high school social science subject including: Geography, Modern World History, US History, Introduction to Psychology, AP Psychology and Economics. I also worked for a national tutoring company for five years tutoring reading and math with K-8 graders.
I have also coached JV softball for three years and have given private pitching lessons. I have experience with working with students that are behind grade level, at grade level, and advanced.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
