CSU Eastbay (Human Development)
My name is Arya. I am a graduate of California State University East Bay with a B.A. in Human Development. I am currently enrolled at University of San Fransisco in a chemistry program to complete my prerequisites for Pharmacology school. I previously tutored at a couple of non-profits in the bay area with focuses on: statistics, algebra, geometry, research & academic writing, and GED prep.
I love tutoring because I truly enjoy seeing the people I work with succeed in life. It brings a smile to my face to be able to see many of the individuals I worked with pursuing their education further, or using the knowledge they gained to acquire the jobs and careers they desire. I believe as long as somebody has the desire and discipline to succeed they can learn whatever their heart desires.
I previously worked with many individuals who struggled with mathematics. I personally know how frustrating it is to be thrown into a world of numbers without any guidance. Math is a language which must be practiced, and I can help offer great support and guidance in doing so.
Currently I am completing my B.S. in Chemistry to be able to apply to Pharmacology programs. I have diligently covered the material and am currently taking organic chemistry. I use to avoid chemistry, but have accepted my love for it, and hope to help others appreciate it.
I have worked with tutoring individuals between the ages of 8-22. The biggest problem I have seen is the lack of understanding of fundamentals. I am extremely patient and dedicated in making sure everybody gains a strong foundation in math so that they may have a strong base for future learning.
It is never to late to learn since we never stop learning. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions about lesson plans, scheduling, or anything related in bettering yourself. Hello,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
