Hello! I'm Kay, and I've been teaching and tutoring for over 15 years. I specialize in explaining complicated concepts clearly and in helping students gain confidence in their skills. I have a B.A. in History from Yale University and a Ph.D. in History from the University of California, Berkeley. I have also taught AP US History, worked as a scorer for the AP US History Exam, and taught SAT prep classes.

I currently teach US History to college students, and have taught World History, European History, Women’s Studies, and US Government and Politics. I also have almost two decades of experience in tutoring high school and college students in standardized test prep, writing, study skills, and the college application process. I’m happy to help you tackle your homework, plan and write a research paper, improve your grades in a difficult class, study for an upcoming standardized test or AP exam, or strategize for your college applications.
