As a independent financial advisor, I have assisted many local governments and governmental agencies in the issuance of their municipal bonds. My undergraduate degree is in economics, and I had nearly enough course work for a second concentration in computer science.

I am available to tutor junior high, high school, college or graduate students in economics, public finance, math, or writing. I am also available to coach high school students applying to college. For the past ten years, I have volunteered as an alumna interviewer for the Harvard College admissions office.

I studied public speaking and speech writing as part of my MGA program at the University of Pennsylvania. The course instructor was a speech writer for five U.S. presidents and has authored several books on the subject including "Podium Humor" and "Churchill: Speaker of the Century." When I took his course, he told me that if "I didn't make it in public finance," I should consider a career as a speech writer. And he signed my book, "To [Pat], the speaker of my class."

Great tutor

She helped my daughter on her English homework. She helped her understand and she explained everything for her. She really cared about teaching and making sure my daughter understood her assignment. She also taught her skills she did not learn at school. She is a wonderful tutor and I'm so glad I found Patricia.

Patricia goes the extra mile to make sure my daughter understands. She even has strategies to help my daughter to stop making silly mistakes on her tests. She is patient and my daughter enjoys her sessions.

We appreciate greatly Patricia G.'s helping our son get into Harvard

I was so lucky that I found the great tutor Patricia G.'s information in WyzAnt. And so lucky that Mrs. Patricia G. was available for guiding our son. Mrs. Patricia G. is a very knowledgeable teacher, and very, very helpful. She gave our son a lot of very important information, let him know about Harvard, even bought books for him. Our son is a little shy. Mrs. Patricia G. spent her very precious time to prepare interview rehearsal for him, and did it every time during her coaching. English is his second language. Mrs. Patricia G. helped him greatly improve his writing. He is very interested in singing. Mrs. Patricia G. provided him information about the chorus at Harvard. We are eternally grateful to Mrs. Patricia G.! My whole family is here to say thank you Mrs. Patricia G. You greatly helped our son to realized his dream!

A+ Review

I have noticed an "air of extraordinary confidence" in my daughter after her tutoring lessons in Geometry, English and Public speaking with Trish! My daughter's grades and motivation have improved. I see this as a direct reflection of effective dissemination of the concepts, organization of homework and communication skills Trish uses in her tutoring lessons! This allows more smooth completion of work at home.

Great tutor, perfect for my daughter.

I started looking for a tutor about 8 months ago. But being a working single mom, with a very tight budget and time, I just couldn't afford one. But I knew I had to do something to help my daughter. The after school programs and school tutors just didn't work for her. So when I was on vacation I went on WyzAnt again to search. And There she was, affordable and lives in Novato, just like us. And my daughter LOVES HER. We are so lucky to have found a tutor like Patricia. My daughter gets the help and push that she need, to get her grades up for the coming school years. This is the best thing I have ever done for my daughter.
