I've been working in Supplemental Education for almost ten years, teaching and tutoring both privately and professionally for companies such as the Institute of Reading Development, Study Page, and Huntington Learning Center.
My specialty is English, Literature, Reading & Writing. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English and my Master's Degree in Poetry & Creative Writing. If you are struggling with Shakespeare, George Eliot or something a little more modern, like Toni Morrison's Beloved, I can help you learn those pesky literary terms and understand everything you've been missing in your English classes.
I have also taught hundreds of students how to speed-read over the last ten years! Speed-reading does not only decrease the amount of time necessary to finish assignments; it also increases reading comprehension!
Writing is the active form of reading, and I will teach you how to best write the hardest essay and/or paper you've ever been assigned in your Academic Career!

Do you want to get your homework done faster but still receive 100%? Are you struggling to get your ACT/SAT score up? I'm the tutor for you!! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
