Los Angeles Pierce College (Bioengineering)
Hi! I am a 3.9 bioengineering major student. As a bioengineering student, I have a solid knowledge of biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. I have lots of experience with teaching. My students range from grades K through college, and have done excellent in all of their classes. My teaching method is patient, understanding, and versatile to the student's needs. I make sure to map out a lesson plan for all of my students.
Since my senior year in high school I have been actively and voluntarily tutoring underclassmen and classmates. I volunteered in a program called "Senior Class" in which I had to assist a teacher in teaching elementary students. I was often complimented as helpful by the teacher and entertaining by the students. Since I started attending Pierce Community College, I have been helping out in the tutoring center. Most students who had encountered my teaching asked me to tutor them outside the office hours.
My method of teaching is simply to try to convince the students to be more open-minded with the materials by relating them to real life analogies. From the my previous experiences I have noticed that most people have a hard time understanding something that they deem as complicated and difficult, clogging their minds from accepting the information . When this mind set is altered their minds are free and their learning capacity will expand.
For maximum satisfaction and more efficient use of time, please be specific about the topics or questions you want to be tutored. (This also helps me prepare questions). I am available most times during the day to help answer any question the student might have. I'm looking forward to working with you! Hi! I am a 3.9 bioengineering major student. Nat is amazing! I've been out of school for several years, and Nat was able to help keep me up to speed, and fully understand what's happening in my Physics class. She is very patient, and is great with putting what we're working on in the real world. We've covered 1 dimensional problems, 2 dimensional problems, and velocity. Thank you Nat! You're amazing.
Nat taught me domains and ranges, linear functions, the quadratic formula, and how to model functions. She is very helpful and patient. She explains very well and I strongly recommend her as a tutor.
Nat taught me the basics of calculus that I was struggling real hard to grasp. She thoroughly explained the theoretical and mathematical concepts to me and related the subject to my interests, which made the learning even more fun. I am most definitely looking forward to more lessons from her. She is very patient, calm, and understanding with the learning process.
Nat helped me in Chemistry with Stoichiometry and Limiting Reactants. She was very patient and helped me understand concepts I had a difficult time understanding.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have tutored college algebra at Pierce tutoring center before, so I am very experienced with teaching the concepts. My students would often ask for private lessons and compliment me as helpful.
I am a bio-engineering major who's completed the calculus series with A's. My math background is very strong and I am quite good with explaining. Algebra is an integral part of calculus and lays the stepping stone for higher math. I had experience tutoring Algebra 2 to some of my students and found it easy to deliver the concepts of the subject to them.
I am a 3.9 gpa bio-engineering major which means my knowledge in biology is solid. I have been tutoring classmates throughout my time in college. Biology could be difficult with all the memorization but with a little technique and understanding you would find that it is not at all too difficult!!
I am a 3.9 GPA bioengineering major. This means I have a solid background in math up to calculus. I have tutored college students at Pierce college in the subject and was always complimented as helpful and easy to understand. I always construct a lesson plan before for the most efficient use of your time! I know calculus can be overwhelming but I am very patient! Hope to hear from all of you! :)
I am a 3.9 GPA bioengineering major. This field of study involves a lot of chemistry, which is why I have a very deep understanding of the subject.
I have taken and aced all of the chemistry classes up to organic. Along the way, I have tutored many classmates and underclassmen who find my teaching very efficient and easy to understand.
I volunteered as a teacher assistant in an elementary school for a year. In addition to that, I myself have a very strong math background being a bio-engineering major. Throughout my experience teaching, I have gained some techniques to teach kids as it is hard for them to concentrate! I am very patient and entertaining.
I can make this learning experience fun and rewarding for the student! Please send me topics that you want the student to improve upon and I will do my best to raise their grade!
I completed both semesters of college organic chemistry with an A. I tutored classmates and the professor asked me me to help run the class with my extensive knowledge of organic chemistry. Furthermore, I've received high marks on all my tests and would often get 100% and sometimes above on all midterms and finals.
From my experience, the classmates who needed my help had a difficult time memorizing the diverse mechanisms. However, there's are patterns to them and the key to understanding these is to acknowledge that reactions (which are essentially transfers of electrons) occur to lower the potential energy of the system, therefore increasing stabilization. Understanding how each movement of electrons lowers the state energy will lead to a better memorization of the mechanisms.
I am a 3.9 gpa bioengineering major. Being an engineering major my background in physics is solid. I was a physics teacher assistant at Pierce College and I tutored physics at Pierce tutoring center. With my way of teaching and explaining, my students always find it easy to understand and relate the concepts.
I am a 3.9 bioengineering major. This also indicates my solid mathematics background. I have had experiences teaching college prealgebra at Pierce tutoring center. As a tutor, I was always complimented as helpful and entertaining! I am very patient and understanding so I am very easy to work with! Hope to hear from all of you! :)
