In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
During my tenure as a tutor, five children and adults have been under my tutelage for extended periods of time.

This disorder has three subtypes; namely, predominantly hyperactive-impulsive with six or more symptoms in the hyperactivity-impulsivity category, predominantly inattentive with six or more symptoms in the inattention category, and combined hyperactive-impulsive and inattentive with six or more symptoms from each of the two categories aforementioned. Some children with this disorder also have comorbid conditions, such as learning disability, conduct disorder, bipolar disorder, and anxiety and depression.
