Berklee College of Music (Drumset Performance)
My name is Francisco Pawluszek, I am from Argentina. I started playing the electric bass when I was 10-years-old, then fell in love with the drums when at age 16. In 2010, I moved to Boston, MA, where I attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music. There I studied with some of the most respected drum teachers in the world, and learned not only about how to play drums, but also how to transmit this knowledge to my students in the most clear and effective way. I also studied music history, production, etc. All of this plus my experience as a bass player greatly broadened my understanding of drums and percussion and their role within music as a whole. I have played (and still play) hundreds of shows all around the East and the West Coast, as well as South America.
I have been teaching for over 8 years. My students have ranged from 4 to 51 years old, and from complete beginners to touring drummers. Each lesson is always tailor made with each student's interests in mind. I also assign an amount of work for you to do on your own having in mind your level of proficiency and the practice time you have every week. This way we can work together and you are always learning something you are interested in, while at the same time striving to achieve realistic goals to prevent confusion and frustration. My only goal is for you to have fun learning and playing music. My name is Francisco Pawluszek, I am from Argentina. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I studied at the Berklee College of Music, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in December 2012, receiving a Bachelor in Music degree. I have over 8 years of teaching experience, teaching both electric bass, drumset and hand percussion. I have taught students from ages ranging 4 to 51, from complete beginners to touring musicians. I follow diverse teaching methods, depending on the interests and level of proficiency of each student, which were passed on to me by different teachers I studied with in college.
