So grateful for Brian---his expertise, his patience and encouragement as well as the profound teachings on many levels and the great interactive conversation/teachings he spirs!
My daughter has forgotten or never learned ALL of the grammar rules! With the PSAT looming, she needs someone to help her quickly remember and apply rules that range from easy to very difficult. Brian knows them all, writes out the basic rules for her, and even writes up more rules for her to study when they are not together. It's exactly what she needs! Highly recommended!

I'm already recommending him to all my family and friends!!! Thank You Brian!!! Without your guidance and edits I would not have been able to finish my paper or meet my deadline!!! Don't go anywhere because I'm going to contact you soon for more tutoring and guidance!! The world needs more tutors like you!!!
Brian's creative approach helped me develop a simple and concise standard format for writing policy statements that will be included in a business operations manual. He also taught me an effective technique for critiquing my own writing. I intend to use Brian's skills again in the near future when I begin writing grant proposals.
I am an older student, working and trying to finish school. My job requires that I write reports on everything I do. I thought that taking an English course would help make my reports better. Well, from the start I was lost and ready to quit. My professor suggested a tutor and after some not so positive experiences I found Brian. His grasp of my situation and his phenomenal writing skills have been an enormous help. He not only understands the intricacies of the written word, but can also explain it in a way that I can comprehend and apply at work and school.
He has not only demonstrated expert skills, but a seemingly bottomless patience. I have wanted to quit many times, but Brian's "can-do" attitude is helping me realize that I can do this. He is consistent, focused and upbeat. I always feel like I have his undivided attention and support. I am going to graduate this time. With a degree, I see promotions and hopefully a better job in my future. Thank you, Brian!
Brian gave my daughter insightful thoughts about how she could improve her college essay. As a result of the session, she's ready to apply to her early decision school. I'm glad we found him.
I contacted Brian because I wanted to get feedback on my application for a highly competitive Fulbright U.S. student fellowship. Brian responded immediately, and we reviewed my essay and short answer responses via Skype. He gave me excellent advice on how I could rework my essay to highlight more of my job experiences, academic achievements, and accomplishments. Moreover, he helped me upgrade the phrasing of my ideas. He made a long and overwhelming application much easier to approach. My essay is much more compelling and sophisticated now! I am going to recommend him to my niece who is starting her college applications. Thanks, Brian!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
