The Dean over the Pasadena City College Paralegal Training program refers to me one of the best students they have ever had in their program.
My tutoring style is to patiently help each student to understand the terminology associated with their subject. I use a gradual but thorough approach and build on what each student knows to increase their certainty on their material.

Excellent experience. Ray's help was crucial in me receiving a good grade in my Law class. Very knowledgeable and patient. Will continue to work with Ray in the future.
Thank you for the very nice review. Looking forward to helping you in the future. Please also tell your friends who may need help in Law.
My tutor researched and located a resource for accessing Westlaw, a legal research program. I was impressed with his initiative and resourcefulness in locating this valuable resource tool. This is key to helping me achieve my goals for this tutoring. My hat is off to Ray for pulling this off. Kudos. And this was all done very timely. So I am impressed.
Ray is very friendly, knowledgeable, and cordial. Unequivocally, he is an excellent all around 5 star tutor. I recommend him to the highest term.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a very broad appreciation of our world and the various countries, nations and geographical features that make up our world. From a very young age I have been fascinated by publications such as National Geographic or the World Book Encyclopedia. I love the subject of Geography.
I have a certificate for completion of the American Bar Association-approved paralegal training program at Pasadena City College. I have over 15 years paralegal experience in civil litigation and investigations in support of civil litigation. I can tutor in legal research, civil litigation, discovery, civil procedure, legal and background investigations. I am also an experienced Genealogy researcher and can tutor in that field.
I worked for three years as an aide at a boarding school where I was responsible for a small group of students ages 7 to 13 to make sure they completed their academic and life skills assignments. I helped these students improve their study skills by using a gradual but focused approach. This inclued covering assignments on a gradual, step-by-step basis, not going ahead too fast onto a new aspect of their assignment until the student felt confident on the prior step. This brought up the student's confidence and they retained the information more easily. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in English and after graduating was accepted into the Early Childhood Education teaching credential program at California State University Sonoma. Due to a change in my career path I did not attend but have always had a love of teaching and education, later attending Pasadena City College and completing their Legal Assisting program. I have applied my own successful study methods while tutoring Students in the law. I now want to expand my tutoring to help students with the general study skills I have learned during my various careers.
