Harvard University (Psychology)
I am a current professional baseball player, graduated from Corona del Mar High School as an AP Scholar with Distinction in 2009. I became captain of the baseball team, and was a starting infielder and pitcher. I earned All Pacific Coast League three times, and 1st Team All State (CIF) in my senior year in which I set the Orange County record for RBI's in a single season.
Following high school, I attended Harvard University, where I majored in Psychology and played baseball as an infielder and pitcher.
After graduation, I signed with the Québec Capitales of the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball. I pitched to a 3.03 ERA, and signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball following the season (2014). With the Diamondbacks, I pitched in High A and AAA games in Spring Training, but unfortunately was released at the end of Spring Training due to organizational turnover. I went on to sign with the New Jersey Jackals, a different team in the CanAm League for the 2015 season and threw 55 innings for them this year. The Jackals picked up my team option for the upcoming 2016 season.
I eat, drink, and sleep baseball, and approach the game scientifically (by constantly studying biomechanics, injurious movement patterns, nutrition, mentality, etc.). Because of this, I am always up to date on the newest and best training methods. This is something I take much pride in.
I look forward to helping you and/or your child advance their pitching, hitting, and/or fielding skills! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a professional baseball player. I played baseball as both a hitter and pitcher in High School, College, and am now a pitcher professionally. This gives me a vast knowledge of the game.
