B.S., Cornell University (Human Biology)
Attending UCLA (Graduate Coursework)
My name is Sigal W. and I am a recent graduate of Cornell University. I studied Human Biology, Health and Society, fulfilled a minor in Global Health, and successfully completed the premed track coursework. I hope to be a pediatric doctor in the future! In addition to my love of science -- biology and nutrition, especially -- I am a talented writer and editor, both for creative and academic pieces. At Cornell, I also studied inclusive education and worked on a project to build an inclusive school in Haiti! I loved learning about how to best engage students in a classroom. I have previous experience tutoring, have studied how people think, and have experience working with children (including children with mental and physical disabilities). I thoroughly enjoy working with people and would love to get to know you. :) I am patient, kind, and enthusiastic, and would be more than happy to work with you!
I have taken math classes through premed, college math. I scored 800 on the Math SAT section. I have successfully completed applied math classes such as college-level physics classes, and scored well on the MCAT exam.
I completed a biology-focused major and the premed track at Cornell University, through which I successfully completed a plethora of biology and biology-based courses. I scored very well on the MCAT, as well. I am currently enrolled in graduate-level courses in biology-based topics at UCLA. Moreover, I thoroughly love biology!!
Though I was not an English major in college, I have always been a talented writer with a strong command of the rules of grammar. I have always done well in English and writing classes, including in the writing seminars and creative writing class I did take at Cornell. I also always score well on writing assignments and have experience editing others' papers. I scored a 750 on the writing section of the SAT and scored very well on the MCAT, which includes a Critical Analysis and Reading section. I really enjoy writing, as well!
I am very interested in working with you! I love getting to know people and learning how they think. I enjoy motivating students to work hard and improve, and I know I have the patience and intelligence to be a great tutor! I will always work hard and be as flexible as possible, so that we can form a great relationship. :) Hello!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
