Bio

Hello, my name is Victoria. I'm a native Californian, and a graduated of Graziado School of Business, Pepperdine University, Malibu CA, with a BA in Business Management and a MBA with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship. I also have a 200 hour, TQUK Level 5, TEFL/TESOL Certificate with a focus on Teaching Young Learners & Teaching Business English from International TEFL Academy, Chicago, Illinois.

Hello, my name is Victoria. I'm a native Californian, and a graduated of Graziado School of Business, Pepperdine University, Malibu CA, with a BA in Business Management and a MBA with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship. During my time in college, I was privileged to gain a great deal of knowledge from some extremely talented and dedicated professors. Their extensive knowledge in their field of profession, real life experiences and the pure honest desire to help others reach their educational goals inspired me. So much so, it motivated me to use my talents to teach as well.

It first started with preparing my nephew for school, he was about three years old at the time, and then I began to teach my nieces age four and six. I am a strong believer in early education and setting the core roots for future educational success. With the knowledge I have gained I aspire to share my gifts through teaching and tutoring with an approach that makes learning fun.

I started teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) or sometime called ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) since 2017 and love it! I work with students of all ages and all levels, from beginning to advance.

I like to use a variety of learning aids and methods (visual, technology, audio, TPR, Project-based learning, multi-sensory, etc.) to help stimulate the desire to learn and accommodate for different styles of learning. Lesson plans are usually tailored to the student's needs and will be modified as progress is revealed.

I'm excited to play a part in helping students grow and reach their fullest potential. I'm flexible and open to parent or student suggestions and resources they can provide. Feel free to contact me if you would like to schedule a lesson. I look forward to working with you!

I also have an understanding in how to use functions and construct advance, complex formulas (i.e. IF function, Vlookup, Hlookup, Xlookup, And/Or functions, Choose, Concat, Countifs, Sumifs, Match, Index etc.). In addition, I'm knowledgeable in importing and exporting data, data analysis, creating tables, pivotable, charts, drop-downs, dashboards and other elements to organize and convey data in a visually appealing and meaningful way.
