California State University Fullerton CSUF (Accounting)
I have 20 years of Accounting experience in the private sector. While attending CSUF, I tutored both Accounting and Finance courses. I received my CPA license in 1993. I love accounting, and can help anyone in need of tutoring, especially students new to Accounting.
Most of my students fall into two groups... 1. Undergrad Business Majors, and 2. MBA students who work full-time. My goal for every student is to teach them what they need to know to successfully complete their course, with the least stress possible. To efficiently and effectively meet that goal, I provide their first 30 minutes absolutely free. If the student wishes not to continue, they will not be charged anything. If the student wishes to continue, that is when the lesson begins. I am very proud of the positive feedback received from past students, and continually strive to exceed every student's expectation.
I make myself available from 9am to 9pm, 7 days/week, and usually meet my students at a Starbucks near the student, or anywhere they'd like. Kevin was a life saver. With his help I was able to pass my MBA accounting class. If anyone out there needs someone to help them make sense of all those accounting terms look no further. He is patient, can explain all those terms so a lay person can understand them. He is great to work with and very flexible. I will definitely use him again and so happy I found him in the nick of time to pass my final. Thanks a million Kevin.
I highly recommend Kevin if you are struggling in accounting in any way. He is a very knowledgeable CPA and helped me become very confident going into my mid term. You can count on him to be on time to lessons and he comes prepared with questions you can send him ahead of time.
I was really struggling in accounting but Kevin really helped me and invested more time with my needs and even helped me out financially!! He really knows what he's talking about and is an all around amazing guy! Go to him if you need help, he's the best!!! He wants you to succeed and wants the same outcomes as you! Ps he has cake too.
Kevin really knows his stuff inside and out - as a self-ascribed big-picture learner, I really appreciate that he's personally had extensive professional experience with the concepts used in my coursework, which helps put my accounting homework in real perspective. Highly recommended tutor!
Kevin is the best tutor that I ever had. If you need help in accounting class, he's the tutor for you.
Kevin is a great tutor. He is very understanding of the material and very patient with me while learning. He is super good at communicating. He is always quick to respond and often open to help me whenever I need it. He is always on time and keeps the tutoring session focused and useful.
Kevin is an awesome tutor. Without his knowledge of accounting, I would not have passed my ACCT 301A (intermediate) course. I had fallen behind and Kevin worked with me to get me back up to speed. If I did not understand a particular topic, he would always find ways of explaining it to me or use examples to get the point through to me. He is very adaptive to a student's learning style. Unlike other tutors, Kevin does not nickel and dime every single min. of the tutoring session. He actually sits down during the initial session to develop a study planning schedule to understand where the student currently is, and plans out the path that will help the student get to where they need to go. His tutoring hours are very open and he is willing to meet up with a student at anytime. Kevin is awesome because he will cater to your needs and do whatever you need him to do. For instance, if I didn't understand a chapter, he would actually sit and go through the chapter with me, section by section, to ensure that I understood the subject matter. Kevin also helped me tremendously with homework problems. If you get stuck, he would figure out why you got stuck and what the issue was and explain it to you so that you understand your mistakes. I went through at least 3 tutors before I found Kevin. I'm very glad that I found him on WyzAnt...
I found Kevin just in time for my first exam in accounting, a subject that I was struggling with. He's very patient and knows how to deliver the lessons clearly so that I can understand.
I'm taking a summer financial accounting class and was on the track to fail. I hired Kevin and he brought up my grade to an A! He is very straightforward in terms of helping you through questions, which is very helpful. Kevin explains the work in a very clear manner. He was also incredibly flexible with his hours, which was amazing, especially that it's during the summer. He has loads of experience and is very supportive of you. I will always refer him to anyone who needs a financial accounting tutor. Thank you so much, Kevin!
Kevin is a life saver. He helped me understand a subject that was completely foreign to me. He came to my house on time, and was ready to help. Kevin is an amazing tutor who is very knowledgeable in his subject of expertise. I would recommend Kevin to anyone I know.
Hi Christian, Thank you very much for the great review. I really appreciate your comments.
I am in an accounting class at SMC. I was really struggling with cost accounting and my grade dropped significantly within three weeks because I could not get it! Within 15 minutes of meeting Kevin, I already understood the principle. After two hours I felt completely relieved and not only able to grasp it, but completely understood something I thought I never would! I am soooooo happy and relieved!!!
Basically Kevin was able to look at the assignment, identify the key points, and direct me to a starting point. Before we met many of my classmates had no clue on the how, what, why, and where of this assignment. Kevin was able to explain in person and really took a genuine interest in my goals of passing this MBA class, with my first B. There goes my 4.0 GPA. But this was week 6 of an eight week course. I wish I had found Kevin earlier. I do not know what the outcome is yet as my computer had the blue screen of death the night the assignment was due. But either way I feel confident I will score a passing grade on my final.
Kevin is the best. His knowledge of accounting is extensive. Moreover, he explains things clearly and concisely. Best of all, he is very patient and supportive. I would highly recommend Kevin.
Kevin is very patient and thorough when answering questions. He helped me on a school project and immediately knew where I was getting confused. He knows accounting well, I highly recommend him.
I like working with Kevin. He has a lot of experience in the industry and is very easy going. He is punctual and accountable "no pun intended". I am taking an accelerated university course in financial accounting and find that he is very comfortable with the material. He is not only comfortable with the material but also quickly understands the homework assignments on Peasons Lab and how to apply his knowledge to the study material that makes it easier to understand. My grades have dramatically improved since our first session. I plan on using his help throughout the course. Thanks Kevin.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
