I love to tutor Mathematics.

I’ve always had a natural understanding of Mathematics, one that both helped me to excel and also to help others. I started tutoring my younger brother while in an accelerated math program at the University of Minnesota as a 7th and 8th grader. I tutored other students throughout High School. I was accepted to Stanford as a Math/Physics double major and continued to tutor in the Bay Area. Even after graduating from Stanford and starting a software company in San Francisco, I occasionally found the time to tutor. Then I decided to join the Marine Corps and I found myself as the go-to Math tutor for my fellow Marines as they worked on their own professional development. Now, after finishing my MBA at the Carlson School of Business, moving back to California to start a family, and starting my own business once again, I am still tutoring. I don’t think I will ever stop tutoring.

I have always enjoyed math. Thinking about problems, solving problems, and explaining solutions are fulfilling on their own. Being able to help others learn how to solve problems is such a blessing, I am so thankful to have the background and experience to be able to be a teacher of mathematics.

Even though I have always loved and excelled at math, I have also been blessed with many amazing teachers who helped me to exceed my potential on my own. They taught me methods for thinking that I use now, that I pass on to my students. These ways of thinking are key to being able to see any subject clearly, to being able to generalize from one problem to the next, and for understanding how to communicate with teachers and peers that you have mastery.

I am easy to get a hold of as I spend my time these days programming software for my own startup business. I am always happy to unplug from my work to help anyone who is struggling with a problem or who needs help with a subject in ge
