About Kristie

Bio

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University, earning my Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and gaining seven years of professional teaching experience. I taught Kindergarten through 8th grade in the public, private, and charter sectors. I have been honored with several awards for my lesson planning and teaching abilities, including the SEDI Teacher Awards for Sustainability Curriculum and the Imagine Arizona Lesson Plan Contest.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Northern Arizona University, earning my Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and gaining seven years of professional teaching experience. I taught Kindergarten through 8th grade in the public, private, and charter sectors. I have been honored with several awards for my lesson planning and teaching abilities, including the SEDI Teacher Awards for Sustainability Curriculum and the Imagine Arizona Lesson Plan Contest.

A few years ago, I started my own education business which allowed me to take my education interests to the “field,” voyaging around the world and traveling independently to 81 countries. I then decided that I wanted to go into leadership to make a larger impact on the field of education. I obtained my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from University of Massachusetts Global. I am currently a Middle School Principal, striving to make a difference in the field of education.

I love tutoring because I am overjoyed to have the ability to continue to work one-on-one with students and witness their growth in a variety of areas. I’ve successfully taught reading, writing, social studies, science, math, and robotics. I feel confident to teach a variety of subjects and I’m sure that, together, we can accomplish our academic learning goals! I look forward to hearing from you to schedule a lesson together! :)

I have had the privilege of teaching students with ADHD in a whole-group classroom setting for 7+ years and tutoring students privately for 10+ years. I’ve worked with students who couldn’t concentrate because the student beside them was writing on their paper too hard and it was too loud. I’ve accommodated students with ADHD by allowing them to bounce on a ball while I am teaching because it allows them to focus. I think the most important thing to note here is that I have the understanding of and the patience for students with ADHD and how to make sure that they’re successful in their learning endeavors.
