Hello, I'm Florence. I graduated from MIT, getting both my bachelor's and master's in Civil Engineering. I had several tutoring jobs during the summer that were conducted previous to this platform. I hope to further students' knowledge in mainly mathematics and physics to get a better understanding of the physical world. I enjoy seeing progression and understanding of the student because I know the accomplishing feeling of finally understanding something. As a tutor, I take it upon my self to figure out a comprehensible method of explaining a concept/problem to a student. I encourage questions of any caliber because a simple clarification can allow students to understand a complex concept. Additionally, I try to connect mathematical concepts to real world situations in order to make the concept more relatable and understandable.

I have a very comfortable understanding in math. Trigonometry and numbers always naturally made sense to me so I can say it's one of my strongest subjects. Previously, I had taught Trigonometry and SAT Math to a class of students during a summer. Additionally, I have a very methodical and easy to adopt strategy of dissecting most physics problems. The trickiest part is to figure out which is the correct formula to use. My process is to initially have a free consultation, lasting about 20 minutes, to get to know the student and understand what the student is looking for: weekly homework help, review of weekly subjects, etc., and I can then schedule my lessons appropriately. My only requirement is to have a minimum 3 hour notice before a scheduled lesson is canceled.

I am free during weekdays from 10AM-5PM. Please feel free to contact me and schedule weekly lessons. I would love to help on homework, classwork or a subject you wish to have a greater understanding of. I respond quickly to messages so feel free to ask me questions or schedule a lesson.
