Ms. C. offers private and group instruction to students of all levels and ages. She stresses scales and technique geared toward the performance of Classical music. But she also encourages her students to have fun by practicing the Popular and Ethnic music of their choice. I have a Bachelor's degree in Flute Performance from New England Conservatory. In addition, I studied in Michel Debost's Flute Performance Master Class in Paris, France for two years and for two years took undergraduate coursework in music at University of California, Berkeley. I currently am the Studio Flute Instructor at Friends Central in Philadelphia and teach flute at Torah Academy, Wynnewood. My recordings are broadcast regularly on WXPN, and I have played Principal Flute in Southeastern Pennsylvania Symphony Nutcracker production. I am on the board of the Flute Society of Philadelphia. My orchestral appointments include Central City Opera, Boise Philharmonic, Santa Cruz County Symphony, and Fremont Symphony.
