I got trained three years ago to be an ABA therapist for children with autism. Then I worked as a therapist/tutor with autistic children for over a year and a half. I also got certified to tutor and correct behaviors of children with special needs. I would teach autistic children math, reading, writing, spelling, grammar, social play and many other important skills.
I tutor children just how I tutor my daughter. I assess where a student is at and I try to make learning fun for them. I know that a happy child is more likely to do there work properly. I am very patient because children with autism taught me how to stay calm even in situations when the child has become dangerous. I listen carefully to what the parents want and then try to exceed their expectations.
Nutrition and healthy eating is my passion. I try to set an example by eating healthy myself.
I lived in Panama for 18 years. I have taught and translated Spanish for different jobs. I am totally fluent in Spanish.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been a tutor for over ten years. Most of that experience comes from tutoring Elementary K-6th students on a variety of subjects, including reading, math, science, grammar, Spanish and many more. This is my specialty and I have developed techniques that make learning easy and fun. That has been proven because I have helped dozens of people improve their grades over the years.
I practiced mixed martial arts for eight years. I learned a martial arts called Hap Ki Do and I was one belt away from a black belt. I am also very passionate about mixed martial arts. I study and practice martial arts when I can.

I was trained and retrained every month by Senior ABA specialists. I also volunteered to work at a special needs camp for five days. I learned how to deal with all types of different special needs people.
I have practiced yoga for years. I study about different types of yoga positions for different ailments. I use yoga to strengthen my body and improve my health.
