I also served as a peer mentor to college students, so I also have experience supporting students with organization skills, test prep, application assistance, planning, and more.
After my undergrad, I immediately began my graduate studies. Recently, at the end of 2020, I completed my teacher preparation program and received my Single Subject Credential in Mathematics, which makes me a certified educator! This upcoming Spring 2021, I will be starting my final semester to complete my graduate coursework to receive my Masters of Science in Education, with a concentration in Teaching.
Between completing my undergrad work and starting my graduate work, I began working as a substitute teacher. I spent a lot of time working with different grade levels and subjected in the K-12 system. I always took my subbing positions seriously, as I was there to further assist students with learning the material rather than having a "day off." These were usually within 30 minute sessions with about 4-6 students at a time and I worked with them in their spelling, reading, phonics, and more.
In November 2020, I recently completed my student teaching. I student taught a high school math class virtually composed of students between 10th and 12th grade. The class I taught was Math 3,
