About Mel

Bio

I'm a policy analyst in my late-20s looking for tutoring opportunities in my down time. I used to tutor students in math as a high school and college student.

I love reading (which I do a lot of in my free time), and I'm a good writer. I loved tutoring when I was younger, and I like working with young people. I'm easy-going and good at explaining things to people in a clear, simple, yet interesting way. I hope to be able to help some of you along your learning paths.

Algebra: expressions/value w/exponents and radicals how to solve variable in linear equation.

Mel, taught and went over exponents, radicals and how to solve for variables in linear equation. What I like about Mel, she has patience and explains clearly and does not make it confusing. I also like she will ask my daughter how will she solve a problem. My daughter has to verbally tell and show her. She will ask if she understood before she goes to the next problem.

Knowledgeable and Thorough Tutor

Mel is very knowledgeable in Statistics and helped my daughter go over and understand her homework problems. Mel provided detailed explanations and was very thorough. After the lesson, my daughter said Mel was a great tutor and that she really understood the material a lot more after her tutoring session.
