I came here to America 12 years ago from China. I was a Mandarin Instructor at the College of China. I am currently as a Chinese Instructor at s university as a part time faculty, and I have also taught American students for seven years at a Chinese school. With the Western education theories, I learned in an American university, where I received my Master's Degree and training on how to teach Chinese to American students. I received two certificates at South California Association StarTalk Organization. Also, I hold a Bachelor Degree of Chinese Language and Literature from Chinese Education University.
I believe in an individualized, holistic approach to education, which celebrates each student's personality, and challenges students while embracing their diversity and independence. I encourage active participation and open communication with students.
These strategies improve the strength of the school's educational team, and facilitate enhanced learning opportunities. As an Instructor, my primary role is to facilitate each student's active learning process, while encouraging students to get interest in learning by themselves.
I show my students my passion for Chinese by sharing my learning experience with them. I make myself as a role model for my students' lifelong learning experiences. I do believe that I will contribute my enthusiasm, passion and skills in teaching to with my student. I am confident that I can make a difference for my students.
Thank you very much for this opportunity. I look forward to meeting with you.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
