About Jordan

Although I've seldom been the beneficiary of tutoring myself, I have always seen the importance and value of assistance in what you are struggling with. There is no shame in needing help and I am not one to be above seeking it or offering it. My mother has been a teacher of multiple grade levels for nearly 20 years now and I found myself helping her help her students with math or sciences, helping her develop new ways for her students to learn and study. I would also help her grade her students work, below and at my own grade level, in the multiple subjects she's teach. I would also help my siblings and friends in my youth with their math homework, teaching them how to solve the homework problems.

While my experience isn't professional or official in any way, I do find a significant value in teaching and tutoring people in subjects where assistance is needed.

My skill with mathematics goes very far back for me. I learned Algebra in elementary school out of my own interest, placed in Honors Geometry in high school, and am currently pursuing a Physics degree at Biola University. While my results on paper are not particularly impressive or outstanding, my attention to detail and proper and creative process allows me to be strong in my knowledge and performance in mathematics.

My interest in physics is the primary reason for me pursuing a bachelor's in the subject. Again, my performance on paper is humble but I hold a good vision of the value and importance of physics both on an elementary level and at a professional level.

If you or someone you know needs help in a math or physics subject, I'd be more than willing to assist to the best of my ability.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
