Hello, my name is Tanya. I was born in Russia so my Russian is obviously perfect. I have good experience working with people. I worked as a tour guide for many years in Moscow. I also have some experience teaching, and for the last few years before coming to the U.S., I've worked for the same company as a teacher for new employees. I lived in a few different countries before, which is why I had to learn Spanish, German, and English. Learning different languages gives me excellent ideas on how to make the learning process more successful, fun, and clear. I will not make you read an article from a newspaper or a long text; that will be what you do at home. (Of course I will guide you on that...) I believe that class time should be spent on teaching you conversational/casual Russian. For your convenience, we can schedule classes either at your house or mine.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I'm a native Russian speaker. I was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. I finished high school, I graduated from the Moscow University of Engineering, and later I finished the school of the Main Tour Buro in Moscow to become a tour guide and a teacher for the same company. I worked in that field for several years. I had friends from all over the world. Some of them were staying for long visits, so I gave them very beneficial lessons on how to speak
Russian. My daughter was born here, in the U.S.A. and I was the only one there to teach her Russian. Since her early childhood, she's fluent in this language. Because of that, they were able to adjust to a Russian's way of life. I lived and worked in different countries, so I had to learn German, Spanish, and English. I know the best methods to teach my students not only how to write and read in Russian, but, most importantly, how to speak this beautiful language.
