“**Good with teenagers!**”

I have worked as a TA and tutor since 2007, helping out college students with their mathematics coursework. I take my time to work with a student, listen to their struggles and questions, and then approach the problem in a way they will understand. I have the ability to explain a problem in multiple ways, so that if one way doesn't work, I don't

*If you have to cancel I need to know the day before. If it's the day of, it's a $15 fee. No exceptions.
Calculus and beyond is $40/hr.*

My daughter feels she will pass trig this online summer school with David's help. Very upbeat tutor! This is someone I would recommend to other mothers.

David M. was able to help with material in a language easy to understand. Material was based in Intermediate Algebra for an upper level college course.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I took Calculus in High School and College. I was a TA for 3 years at the college level for Calculus. I've tutored two different students in Calculus, and both have passed with an A or B in the course.

Many students go through math and understand it until they hit Geometry. Geometry is a different way of thinking. There are proofs and a lot of visual ideas. It takes patience and practice to understand these concepts well. I got my start tutoring Geometry, so I know it well. A lot of the struggle is knowing how to look at it, and I can help students see things the right way.

Precalculus is one of the classes I see the most frustration with. The ideas are challenging and the pace is quick. It builds on a lot of ideas from trigonometry, geometry, and algebra. My approach is to make sure those foundations are solid, and fill in the gaps when needed.

I received a 710 score on the SAT math section when I took the test. I've been helping several students who have all seen at least a 50 point jump in their score with my help.
