I'm a current student at University of California Irvine studying for a degree in Computer Science. I graduated near the top of my high school class with a 4.3 GPA and a 2060 on the SAT. I have over a year tutoring a variety of students in all levels of math and programming to good results. Hi!

My son's first comment was, "Wow, Mom, he really made that graphing seem so easy. I can't believe I didn't understand it before and now I do. I really like Greg, he's a nice guy!" So - that's an "awesome" in my book!!
Greg is a patient and knowledgeable tutor in math. My son needs help with Algebra 2. Greg was on-time at the agreed upon location (UCI Library). There was a bit of a problem in that the library was ultra quiet with students studying, which made audible guidance a problem. My son said they kept getting the "evil eye" from nearby students, so he felt uncomfortable asking too many questions. In the future, we'll have to make a stronger consideration for the choice of venue in tutoring. It's a bit difficult to accurately rate Greg as a tutor under these conditions, but it was clear that he had the requisite knowledge.
Greg is a great communicator and able to explain things easily for a kid. He is very patient and takes time to ensure understanding at each lesson.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have experience tutoring a variety of students in high school in all parts of the standard geometry curriculum.
