I found my passion for science and math education while attending the University of California, Berkeley where I worked part-time as a tutor. I began with teaching high school students in math and science at Berkeley High's after-school program for 3 years. My excellent grades got me a position at UC Berkeley's chemistry department as a Peer Academic Tutor for Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry which I held during my last 2 years of college. In addition to tutoring fellow college students during those 2 years, the position also gave me the opportunity to spend 2 summers teaching Algebra to middle school students.

As an experienced tutor, I'm excellent at finding the problem areas quickly so we can spend our time effectively. And, my own education makes me a uniquely qualified tutor: I received my Chemistry degree from UC Berkeley — consistently ranked 1st in Chemistry by national rankings. My rigorous education taught me calculus, physics, and chemistry (including quantum, biochemistry, and organic chemistry) at a high-level.

The best part of being a tutor is seeing my students light-up as they finally understand the material and the weight on their shoulders starts slipping away. I look forward to sharing that moment with you!

The best chemistry tutor

If you want help with AP chemistry, Rodrigo is the guy. He gets straight into business and can help with all topics covered for the AP Chem Test. I made an A in AP chem, but it was only possible with Rodrigo. Also, he’s super nice and a cool guy! I have my AP Test coming up and will definitely review for it with Rodrigo.
