Hello, and thanks for viewing my profile! My name is Kenny and I am a current high school math teacher, teaching courses in Integrated Math I/II and Integrated Math II/III (accelerated Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry equivalents), and AP Statistics. I posses a valid California Teaching Credential for teaching Math in grades K-12.
I received my Bachelor's of Science in Applied Mathematics with an emphasis on Economics from UC Merced in 2013 and received my teaching credential from Fresno Pacific University shortly after. I have taken and passed mathematics coursework in the following areas: Basic Arithmetic, Pre Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre Calculus, Calculus, Multivariate Calculus, Linear algebra, Differential Equations (ODE's and PDE's), Numerical Analysis, Complex Variables, and Finite Element Analysis.
As a tutor and teacher, I realize patience and understanding are very important, because without this, frustration can easily impede progress. Math is a subject that many people have difficulty with, and I believe my experience as both a tutor and a teacher allows me to better identify common difficulties and confusing topics that many students can encounter.
Aside from my experience within my own classroom, I have also served as a substitute teacher for mentally and physically disabled children, which is what initially sparked my interest and lead me to a career in education.
