Born in a family of engineers and teachers, I have always had a natural flair and affection for science and education. I have a master's degree in electrical engineering with a 4.0 GPA from UCLA and I'm currently working at Apple as a camera hardware engineer. Additionally, I have more than 10 years of teaching experience. I started my teaching career when I was still in high school. Since then, I have worked as a teaching assistant and a tutor for mathematics, physics, and chemistry in many colleges including Santa Monica College, East LA College and UCLA. I have also had a variety of teaching experiences that emphasized on increasing the number and diversity of people participating in science. I have also voluntarily worked as a mentor and a teacher for educationally disadvantage kids and underrepresented students in many colleges. My focus has been on students from the groups who have had the lowest levels of attendance to four-year universities. It is because of my long history of interaction with students in all ages that, I believe, I can motivate people and get them interested in science and education. I'm confident that I have the skills I need for being a good role model and mentor for other students, because teaching is my passion!

I have experience in teaching all high school and college level mathematics courses, chemistry, and physics courses, including algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations, general chemistry, classical mechanics, electromagnetics, and thermodynamics.

I love teaching ; I'm very patient with my students, and I'm easy to reach to. I always make sure that the subject I'm teaching is understood in depth. I welcome any suggestions that parents and students might have regarding the resources and also the structure of sessions. I also speak Farsi (Persian). So, I can teach the lessons in Farsi too if a student prefers that.
