I am a practicing school psychologist with behavioral and special needs background. I have taught graduate students and adults in a federal penitentiary. I love helping people and love to work with children. My interest and qualifications are are unique that support students' ability to learn. I look at a student as a whole and not just in one area. I apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally.
As a school psychologist I apply principles of educational psychology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, community psychology, and applied behavior analysis to meet students' and adolescents' behavioral health and learning needs in a collaborative manner with educators and parents. I have worked closely with special education teachers for the last 12 years and I understand special needs students and their needs well.
I am generally available after 4:00 pm, on weekends and holidays. Students have busier lives and schedules than ever. Some of them face additional stresses at home, with friends or in their studies. My aim is to help students navigate the tumultuous school years with confidence and success. I look forward to working with you and your student! Alokita has given us hope and a plan for my granddaughter. She was articulate, knowledge, connective l, kind , personable and gave us great hope. She is making a plan for granddaughter, my daughter and me and eventually her teachers.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As a school psychologist, I have intensive training to work with ADHD/ADD students. For the past 12 years I have been working with students with ADHD/ADD. I have developed training and workshops to help students, teachers and parents to help students to overcome their disabilities and become successful.
I have a certification from California State University: Fresno in Behavior Analysis and over 1200 Hrs working with children and adults with Aspergers. I work with students that have Aspergers on a daily basis. I set up behavioral plans for them alongside helping them implement new ways for the students to learn.

I have worked in a school district for the past 12 years as a school psychologist. Since Common Core was introduced I have become very familiar with these practices and educational guidelines. I am confident that I can teach them to another student or parent to familiarize them with these concepts. I help teachers write IEPs to align with Common Core.
In my career as a school psychologist, I have worked in a hard of hearing program to implement behavioral modification programs. I can successfully assess students for special needs and special education services. I am able to work with students with disabilities to help them learn.
I have successfully taken this test in order to gain my credentials to become a school psychologist. I familiar with the test style and questions. I can successfully help other students who are studying for this test.
