“**Awesome Tutor!**”

I have taught all of Cuesta's math classes from arithmetic (Math 003 at Cuesta) through pre-calculus (Math 242) for the last 25 years. I also was the Math Lab coordinator for 12 years (until the program was discontinued due to budgetary constraints) where I tutored everything from arithmetic (Math 003) through second semester calculus (Math 265B).

John was awesome! He was very personable and helped my daughter get on track ! We will continue to see him weekly !

Great supplement to my class' lectures. Helps me get through my homework and cement in my brain the tricks and properties I need to get memorized

John is awesome! He is incredibly knowledgeable and explains things well. He is very good at explaining different ways to solve problems and very patient if you don't understand right away. He definitely helped me pass precalc! I would use him again and recommend him to my friends!

Our son Mark has been meeting with John for Intermediate Algebra for several months. While Mark's final grade is yet to be determined, John's work with him has helped Mark to stabilize his grade and has given him confidence in the subject. John understands the math topics thoroughly and explains them clearly in a way that our son understands. John adjusts his explanations to whatever speed Mark needs to absorb the material.

We set up tutoring for Mark with John via email because of the 200 mile distance between where we live and the college. John quickly responds to requests and emails, usually in less than 24 hours, making the distance a non-issue.

We would definitely have John tutor Mark in the future.

John F. is an excellent tutor! He has 20 years experience teaching math. He is patient and works through challenging problems methodically to make it easier to understand. I'll sing his praises to whoever will listen !!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
