About Sudeepto

I am committed to providing a completely personalized education to you, in a mindful and compassionate way, taking into account your unique individuality. You may belong to any age group needing tutoring in any area within my field of expertise: elementary to introductory graduate level physics (physical sciences), math and electrical engineering. You may just need regular practice to master the subject and score better in exams, or you may have difficulties ranging from misconceptions, a weak background in the mathematical sciences to a nightmarish phobia of math, I can help you.

I am an advanced degree holder in a technical field (Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, M.Eng and B.S. with Honors in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University) with a vast knowledge of the mathematical sciences. I know what it takes to succeed in academics up to the highest degree levels at premier institutions. I have been a teaching assistant for advanced undergraduate and graduate level electrical engineering courses (microwave electronics, VLSI fabrication, digital signal processing, adaptive signal processing, artificial neural networks, quantization noise). I have had experience tutoring undergraduate students in lower division physics (mechanics, heat, electromagnetism, optics, modern physics), and math (precalculus, calculus, linear/matrix algebra, and ordinary differential equations). I have also tutored physics/physical science and math (algebra 1 and 2) to high school and middle school students.

I have spent my life studying, applying and teaching math and science. Contrary to popular opinion, math and science is easy! I can show you how easy it really is and help you master it. I will teach you how to relax and focus. I will explain the concepts and the meanings of equations and formulas. Then we will practice together until you can solve math and science problems in your sleep!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Calculus

I have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and wrote my dissertation on a physics topic. I have a Master's and B.S. (with Honors) in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. I have a strong background in physics and math (including calculus).

Differential Equations

I have a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, and I wrote my dissertation on a topic in solar physics. I have taken many courses in electrical engineering and advance physics that required the use of advanced differential equations. Both electrical engineers and physicists are required to know differential equations which are used to solve many electrical engineering and physics problems. My dissertation on helioseismology, a field of study involving perturbation analysis and wave propagation, required a deep knowledge of ordinary and partial differential equations in various coordinate systems. Furthermore, I have tutored ordinary differential equations and systems of ordinary differential equations to upper level undergraduate students at Stanford (2005-2008).

Electrical Engineering

I have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. I also have a Master's and Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. I was a Research Assistant in Electrical Engineering during my Master's and Ph.D., and turned in a Master's project and a doctoral dissertation. I was an Honors student as an undergrad and graduated Magna Cum Laude. I have also been a Teaching Assistant for Electrical Engineering courses both at Cornell and at Stanford (microwave electronics, VLSI fab, digital signal processing, adaptive signal processing, artificial neural networks, quantization noise). I also have industry experience as an Electrical Engineering and worked at Hewlett-Packard Company and Broadcom Corporation.

Elementary Math

I have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. I have a strong background in physics and math. I have also been a teaching assistant for electrical engineering courses, and have been a tutor in lower division college level math and physics.

Linear Algebra

I have a Ph.D. in electrical engineering, and I wrote my dissertation on a topic in solar physics. I have taken many courses in electrical engineering and advanced physics that required the use of advanced linear and matrix algebra. Both electrical engineers and physicists are required to know linear algebra which is used to solve many electrical engineering and physics problems. My dissertation on helioseismology, a field of study involving perturbation analysis, wave propagation, statistical data analysis, and image processing required a deep knowledge of linear algebra. Furthermore, I have tutored linear algebra to undergraduate students at Stanford (2005-2008).

Physics

I have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and wrote my dissertation on a physics topic. I have a Master's and B.S. (with Honors) in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. I have a strong background in both physics and math. I also have prior experience in tutoring high school and college level physics.

Prealgebra

I have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and wrote my dissertation on a physics topic. I have a Master's and B.S. (with Honors) in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. I have a strong background in both physics and math.

Trigonometry

I have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Master's and B.S. (with Honors) in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. I have been a teaching assistant for electrical engineering courses, and I have also been a tutor in college level lower division math courses. I have a strong background in math (including trigonometry and precalculus) and physics.

Perfect Tutor For Me!

Sudeepto is responsive to a student's personal needs in a way that other tutors aren't, able to help students with more than just the learning, but with things like test anxiety and test-taking strategy as well. He looks to find out what a student wants (and sometimes needs) to learn to achieve their goals. He's able to provide ingenious tests of a student's knowledge, as well as good in-class tea
